How to reflash with updated BIOS?

I am going to reflash with the new BIOS release, and wanted to know how to reflash it?
Just start it up on Backup mode, then flash it like I did via HTTP before? Leave all the banks the same just flash over it?

i was just about to ask the same thing.
i would like to do the same.

i would like to backup with new BIOS on the same banks that my other bios is on. 1-2 = on the rest off.

i got a X3CE/XBOX 1.4

any help? how would i get to the flash bios screen?

Start up config live, go to internet explorer and type in your ip address and browse your PC for the file then hit upload and it will delete the old one then flash the new one.

Mmm flashed it. (i think) and lost everything on my F:\
dunno why. dont mind loosing everything. just needed to know what it could be

the way i did it was.

press EJECT + POWER button. ( Bank 1 & 2 = on the rest = off )
then i flashed via HTTP ... is that correct?

do i need to leave the banks as they are after its flashed ?

Boot to X3 live, ftp into using the IP you assigned, use password X3 user X3, navigate to ADMIN/Bios banks, select 1024meg banks, you will see two folders, 1,2,3,4 and 5,6,7,8
Ensure you select the banks you want to flash on the xbox and also enable flash, then drag and drop your bios into the relevent bank folder. It really is the easiest way to flash update.

Flashing your chip will not delete files from your harddrive. It must be a setting issue.

thats the thing. How do i get into the X3 Bios again.
my banks are 1&2 = on the rest = off

but it just boots straight into XBMC dash.
even if u change all switch's to off. it just boots into XBMC

Changing the switch's only changes your Bios, not your dashboards. Hold the white button during xbox bootup to get into CL
