HOW TO REMOVE BIOS FROM X3

I would like to re-format my Xecuter 3 chip to where it only has the cormwell bios on it. How is this done?

Boot the backup bios and flash FlashBios 3.03 onto all banks

There's really no need to. When you want to flash a new bios, any utility will first erase the banks, then write. Are you upgrading to 1959?

He's probably trying to sell the chip. If your doing it in person, don't worry about it. Just don't try to sell it online with a hacked BIOS on it.

just make a 2meg dummy file and flash it with the 2meg bank selected, you'll just have 0's written to the bios banks

yeah, i've done it, alto its not the same as erasing it, it frags when you boot to it instead of going to the backup bios

how the hell do you reflash it then once its erased?

-Edit , could you use flashx to remove bank 1-4 then reflash bank 1 - 1meg using flashx?

boot to the backup bios and flash the 2mb area with a 2mb dummy, and there you go, all you have on there in the leagal backup bios and a bunch of zeros

i'm not sure i understand what you are asking, but when you flash the 2MB dummy file to it and you turn it on to any bank it will frag, but you can still boot to backup and then re flash it to what ever you want

flashx is only for use on x2.x mods with x2 bios´s. I dont think it would work with an x3.

Comes up with no X2 chip found or chip detected.
Wrong Chip ID i think.
