hello, I have used the search function on this part of the forum using various keywords like, remove coolrunner, how to remove coolrunner sticky pad, but didn't see any posts.

My question is how I can remove coolrunner from the board. I used the sticky pad that came with coolrunner to stick it to the board, but now I want to remove it but it is stuck and I would like to know if there's an easy way to remove it. This is some really good glue. Thanks.

I would say good luck. The PCB of the TX Coolrunner is pretty thin and if you pull too hard it may snap.

I would try getting an X-Acto knife under the pad and gently scrape the bottom of the sticky pad. After you get it removed use a little bit of Goof Off or Goo-B-Gone to remove the remaining adhesive.

Thank you for the suggestions, I wasn't sure if heat would damage the coolrunner board. I know that you solder at the ends but that doesn't make other parts heat proof. I probably sound stupid but I didn't want to assume and end up destroying the board. I was going to use glue/goo remover but again wasn't sure if that is safe for the motherboard or the coolrunner.

I am new to the mod scene and I am not as smart as you guys are, so sorry for dumb questions. I am grateful that the suggestion you guys provided worked like a charm, so thanks again.

I don't see an option for closing the thread, so would a moderator please close this thread for me since it solved my issue or do I have to contact a mod?

Thanks again, and happy modding.

I am removing it because I couldn't get it to work properly. I am terrible at soldering and I can't seem to get the right nand reading either, so I gave up and decided to get the whole modding done by a professional.
