How to remove/reset parental restriction on slim

I've got my hands on a trinity slim that has a parental/family lock on it and I don't know the code to remove or reset it.

Is there a way to remove this? Build a new retail NAND maybe??

That's the first thing I tried. Unfortunately the guy I bought it from was not the original owner.

Theres a "brute force" way to do it. And once you get it, its very easy:

Heres the theory:



Click on the family settings, and it will pop the code screen. But if you press the guide button FAST it will not show the code screen. Now, you press the guide button again to dismiss the mini blades and again FAST you press down and the FASTly press the guide button again.

If done right you can navigate the settings and just turn it off.

Open your NAND and check SMC_CONFIG and check the reset code (4 digits) something like UUDD (Up Up Down Down)

Go to system info page and hit LT RT X Y LB RB then your 4 digits (E.G. UUDD)

E.G. LT RT X Y LB RB UP UP DOWN DOWN

Check your NAND's SMC_CONFIG for Reset Code, see attached image.

In this NAND/Consoles case the reset code is LLDX (LEFT LEFT DOWN X) so the full reset code would be LT RT X Y LB RB LEFT LEFT DOWN X

Correct, you just need a NAND Dump.

Maybe I will do a tutorial as I had trouble with this myself when I got a lot of Jasper boards that were all locked. Searching the net there really isn't any "official" tutorial on how to do it via NAND Dump.

I also had trouble with this, it was a jasper 512 and was a RGH system.Following alot of YT videos, in the end i succesfully remove the code after 2 days.Then sold the machine.After 15 minutes the lucky buyer mail me: "Hello, the machine works great,I reflashed the nand with xell and now the console is locked.Send me the fcuking code"But i forgot the code :facepalm:.So that's how i figure out this metod study a week or so on a trinity nand together with the console.

That would have been my next guess lol.

Someone was looking down on me couldn't believe my luck when it worked lol.

If I ever do it for friends I always use X X X X so I dont forget it

Thanks everyone I also managed to reset the settings to the factory default on a locked slim (RGH v1.0)

I used this method :
Open Nand with 360 flash tool v0.97
Tools> Edit Config
Write Down the Reset Code
Go to SETTINGS>System Settings>Console Settings>System Info
Enter this code first : LT RT X Y LB RB
Then Enter your Reset Code

For me the Reset Code was DDUX and it means Down Down Up X so I Entered this code on the System Info page :
LT RT X Y LB RB Down Down Up X
