You would also need a JR Programmer so that you can program your CoolRunner, or I suggest picking up a Slim Proto instead, they boot really fast, and no programming of the chip, so you could technically get away with a Proto and a DemoN. From experience, if you have never done an RGH, it will be pretty difficult to install a DemoN.

The demon can program the coolrunner rev c, as well as read the nand, so a jr-programmer will not be needed with that setup. I would seriously think about getting the proto v2, instead of the coolrunner rev c, as it requires less tweaking, less wires to install, and generally performs better in every way. And it isnt that much more expensive.

A rev c should give relatively good boot times on a trinity anyway. Most Trinity's ive done with rev c glitch within 3 cycles without any tweaking using stock wires and the trinity timing file.
the proto is a better chip but not really necessary for trinity consoles unless you get a stubborn one.
