i cant find the complete uxe files....only some fonts but there is no evox.ini in the uxe archive. can somebody send me the uxe files??

I've gotten to the point where evox boots up on the xbox, i can get to the ftp also. I put the bios files in the fonts folder but when i goto flash bios with the chip on nothing shows up. any ideas?
Could you please elaborate a little more? What do you mean "nothing shows up"? The "flash bios" option isnt there or it does nothing when you select "flash bios"? More details.6_ee said:

well when i would goto flash the bios within evox no bios choices would show up when i put them in c\fonts\bios or wherever it was...evox was looking to another directory within c\fonts\dashboard\bios or something like that (i cant remember i reformatted the drive). i stuck the bios in there and everything flashed ok....i got my chip up and running finally after tons of work and everything seems to be working ok...
i went on a little further past your tutorial and was able to upgrade the harddrive using xboxhdm before successfully flashing the bios, and it worked without the modchip working. but that was about it, most of the other stuff didnt work, like dvd playing etc.
thanks a ton for this softmod tutorial, it saved me some money buying a programmer and it was a much geekier approach, i learned a lot in the process

just to add...
the hotswap gave me tons of trouble in windows xp, it would never appear in device manager or anything. the way i got it to work was:
power up the xbox with the drive plugged in and wait a few minutes
turn on the computer and pause it before bios detects the drives
pull the xbox drive off the xbox ide cable
plug it into the pc ide cable
continue booting up
the drive would show up and if it is unlocked windows would boot up fine, when it was locked windows would never finish loading.
so i did it that way to backup the drive and whatnot...to load up xboxhdm i would have to power everything down again, and do the same process but boot to cd. (by the way the xboxhdm cd was soooo helpful)
maybe that could help the pharcyde

1.6b , X3 and missing 3.0.3 bios. i spent several hours last night following this softmod procedure.
i tried testing this procedure with a non-stock HD and ended up getting service required messages most likely because the drive was locked. so far from what i've read i have to use xboxhdm to create the partitions and build the c drive. i also must use configmagic to create an eeprom.bin in order to lock the HD.
i couldn't get anywhere with the non-stock drive so decided to work with the stock drive. my PC IDE controller would indicate the drive was locked but i was able to do the hotswapping in the proper sequence such that the linux bootcd with xboxhdm recognized the drive. i selected option 2 and followed the instructions as per original post in this thread. when finished, exited xboxhdm, hotswapped the drive back to the xbox, shutoff the xbox and restarted.
my box boots up past the flubber screen, to the X logo (and M$ logo in white on the bottom) but fails to load up neither the EvoX nor the M$ dash). but, it still plays games.
what have i done wrong? is there a way to reverse this and get M$ dash back? to use configmagic above, doesn't the box already have to be modded?

Disregard. I modded my roommates v1.0 and flashed to the latest BIOS and then re-modded my v1.6b
I have gotten past using xboxhdm and have not been able to go any farther. I am using the original xbox hd and recieve error 6 when i try and boot. I am really stuck and need some help. Cause right now i have a worthless pile of junk. sorry i am just frustrated.
OK, I have problem with #5, I can't get xboxhdtm, UXE or EvolutionX from xbins, is it any way someone can email this to me, or at least please explain what it is.sveetsnelda said:

Hi I can't seem to find UXE on XBINS.
I did find a file called "uxe-complete-v0.2.1.bz2" but it does not contain a folder called "uxe-updatefonts61". A search on Google has me thinking I need "uxe-complete-v0.1" but I cannot find that anywhere on XBINS.
I tried using the "uxe-c-replace" folder from the uxe-complete-v0.2.1.bz2 but all my xbox does is boot up the xbox bios and just sits there.

My Live Account just got banned. Reasons?
Ok, so my xbox account just got banned, recieved the Email of Doom just a moment ago. Now im wondering why, it could be a number of things. Let me know which you think did me in.
In order of Events leading to Account Ban
1.My flashed system E74'd on me, used my account email address and sent off to M$ hoping to either fix or even swap out. They ended up sending me a brand new refurb . THEN, 2 days later, they sent my E74 system right back to me with a nice little letter saying that my system has been tampered and denied repair....ooops. ON their part.
2. Flashed new console and playerd backups, never went online. ( doubt this is the reason)
3.Did a JTAG, booted up the system with my profile in and it signed in, Online for a total of 3 secs before turning it off. Disabled internet access from this box since
4.Decided to play play a cracked xbla game on my Jtag that I did not previosly purchase or dowload from the marketplace. Earned an achievement , and then took myy profile to my legit sytme to watch some netflix. I took the achevment.
The nexty dayI recieved an email...YOUR DONE!. ANy ideas on which did me in. Can I not use my profile on my JTag? Im leaning more to the xbox switch on their service center or the xbla achievent on a game that was not signed to me in anytkind of way. Let me knwo what you guys think.

When I tried to Load up freestyle dash ( it's installed on an external HDD) it decided to install it's self on my USB thumb drive as well. Maybe LIVE detected this on my USB. Thumb drive. Don't you get banned for going online with tampered HDD?

I havent noticed any freestyle icons in my recent games. I have Freestyle installed on an external USB HDD but boot FSD from a CD in the DVD tray
