How to test a XBox 360?

Purchased one XBox 360 from ebay. It seems OK to play it for about 30 minutes. I just wonder how can I throughly test this console? Someone told to play a NBA 2K7 for 10 hours. Is this a good idea?

Test for what?? overheating??, if it's going to overheat it's going to overheat, just play your normal games for however long you need/want to play them for.

I just want to make sure this console in working condition. I'm not sure how long is a good enough to confirm the good working condition.

Well like I said above just play whatever games you want and see what happens.
