How to test my backups?

Hello, All my backups ive tested with abgx360 and they all green but It fails when I do a XGD3, ive just backup my gears 3 but how do i scan it? abgx doesnt work, is there no way of scanning a XGD3 game to make sure it backup ok and safe? Thanks
