how to update dashboard, post NAND

a long time back I did the jtag and nand on my xenon. I installed xbreboot, or whatever the appropriate dashboard was at the time. It allowed me to run xexmenu.

I have since updated to xellous (awesome upgrade) and moved freestyle dash files to the root of my hard drive. I tried to install dash_launch, however I received an error code stating my dashboard was not a late enough version or something like that.

Can I just pop in a disk from a game with a specific dashboard update to take care of this, or do I have to take my nand dump and then flash a certain dashboard update to it and all that crud?

I already soldered the two pads on the back so I shouldn't have an issue with the fuses (I may sound ancient here).

One other thing. when running freestyle dash, I could not access any of my games (they should all be GOD).

Thanks in advance

dump your nand (you can use flash360 if you wish), use it to create a newer version of freeboot, then flash the freeboot nand back to your xbox in the same manner

then you can install dashlaunch just fine
