Is the avatar update the same as the previous dash? I have the $$ystemUpdate folder on the root of my usb, but my jtag isn't picking it up at all when I boot.

Great tutorial Johnny!

But i think i messed up using it, i followed the directions,put my info down and after i power cycled the 360,i comes on but nothing shows on my tv and the controller ring of light is constantly on.

I have a Jasper 256, on the drivers screen, i put it to SMC points ORIGINAL, Dash version 13146, Freeboot eject is Xell(HDMI)

And my original NAND is backed up on a dvd,do you know how i can fix this?

Flash back your backup of the previous dash before you did it or take the original nand off the dvd and flash that back it sounds like you used the cpu wrong key or the wrong SMC config was used.

How do i know which SMC to use?

And best question to ask is how do i flash it back? do i connect the xbox to my PC and how so?

look on cool jtagtool setting driver/options it will ask you if you click on it it will start on original you have to put will option to use depending where your put the cables for the jtag look at this http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55189 hope it helps

Well if you started by telling us wtf you did to get this error so we know where you are and what your doing instead of coming on like a five year old and saying > What does this Mean i and how to fix

total awsome was wondering when/if the .13xxxx dash was going to be released.

now im curious does this also re-flash the DVD-roms like the official update or does that have to be done interdependently with the new IX to support the new disc format?

my guess is interdependently as it we are writing directly to the NAND and not updating officially but i just thought id ask.

From what it looks like,i chose the wrong SMC as Johnny said earlier.

So i am going to ship it to the guy who did my jtag last year,he said i was to choose Aud_Clamp, instead i chose Original

hello i did mine (jasper 256) two days ago no problems so far i use cool jtagtool to build my dash 13146 updated using usb i also updated my xell so far so good i will update if y have any problems

My backups still work, I just created a new freeboot and flashed the new dash to my nand, And my drive still has lt1.1 on it, didn't do the drive to lt1.9 yet, Going to do it later though

Your dvd drive stays as is so update it from 1.1 to 1.9 if you want.

No problems alls fine from what i have seen all boards have been tested now, so if you screw up its human error that did it just remember to make a backup of you previous dash as a fall back.

Having some issues with my 256 Jasper. The FB nand that the Jtag Tool creates works as long as the dash is 12625. With the same options selected (except for the dashboard, now at 13146) the FB nand, when flashed to the console, makes the console show the middle power light and nothing else. No image on the screen and no lights around the ROL.

Then the problem is what you did and it sounds like you did the wrong SMC points to me and be a 100% on the CPU key.

i would like to suggest you add this as a side note on you tut tho as some people may follow your guide in the future and be like WTF why is my game not launching (when in fact the game is the new format because eventually any future releases as far as games are considered are going to require this new disc format.

Gem of a tut, followed this to the letter and updated my JTAG without a hitch!! Only had it 2 days, and first time i've ever attempted anything with JTag, this made it all so simple and easy

I'll add something in just telling them to update the drive to the latest LT+ as the new dash will not flash it on a Jtag
