I've tried CD-RW flashing and that didnt work and now I'm messing with network flashing but I'm running into problems. I get an IP on my TV screen showing me that its connected to the network but then when I try typing in that IP it cant be found. My router is seeing the xbox IP but I cant get the Upload page on my browser can anyone help? and if burning a cd didnt work do I have much better a chance with DVD?

DHCP is enabled on LinkSys BEFW11S4 router. IP address assigned by router 192.168.1.112, and X Box reports onscreen 192.168.1.112/255.255.255.0.

Original XBox version 1.0.

Mod Chip: Xecuter 3

BIOS: X3_2914

Hope you can help, we've had no luck getting the XBox to report back in the browser.

Thanks.

first, make sure you are using MS IE webbrowser to flash. Second, http://192.168.1.112 is correct. Other thing you may try is disable firewall on your pc if you are running winxp sp2. If none would work I suggest doing this:

disable your router dhcp (temporarily for now for flashing). Configure your PC ip as 192.168.0.2. Reboot pc just to make sure. Now reboot your xbox into flashbios and it will tell you it can't find an assigned ip or something similar and they will default to 192.168.0.99. Next on your PC, use IE and type http://192.168.0.99. That should bring up the flash screen.

I disabled my router dhcp and then the xbox fell back on that IP like you said and it all worked like a charm. Although in the first 5 minutes of getting my bios up I think I already messed something up by doing a cold reboot and losing all colors and the rox my box logo. I got all excited and started testing what everything did, I'm stupid, there a way to fix this as well?

LMAO. There is an option on x3 config live that you can reset everything back to default.

Also, make sure to press the power button only briefly to enable the chip (your x3 cp should be blue). If you press on the power button too long, you will disable the chip (indicated by x3 cp as red) and you don't see colors and x3 rox my box.

I'm doing all of that and I'm still not getting what the colors and rox my box when I didnt stupidly start messing things up. (Personally I'm surprised I didnt solder a hole through my motherboard or myself) I've got the Blue logo on my switch, i only tap the power button

LOL, no worries, you can still change the colors using X3 config live.

worse come to worse, try reflashing your bios or place another bios in banks 5678.
