i have my modchip in and everything. i boot up and the flashbios screen comes up. i clicked network flashing, got the IP and everything. after i put in where to flash from it says updating modchip, but it says unknown halting on my tv. i;ve checked and doublechecked that the flashprotect isn;t on the chip or the switch.the switch is set to on on off off off. i have the x3 bios, but i still can;t get it to flash.

i was having problems with the version flashbios 3.0.1 everyone says the chip comes with the version in the position off on off off off but its not mine in this position as 3.0.1, try finding the 3.0.3 i found a post here somewhere that tells where it is try it.

I read also in the forum that unknown halting was the protection thing but you confirm that is off.

First thing to try is to check the modchip has flash protect disabled.
Flash Protect off should be red.

If that still doesn't work, reseat the chip and make sure all the pins are level and in tact.

Yes, red=bad=flashable. Green=good=protected. Some X3 chips were labeled incorrectly stating that [red = protected, green = unprotected].
