Hey guys! I just read http://www.teamxecuter.entryhost.com/flashbios/http.htm

How do you do it on a 2.6ce with v1.6 xbox? Do you just choose the extracted bios file? Im using x2.5035 so do I need like a dummy file or do i need to make it an iso or anything like that at all? Do alls I do is load it from the folder after its extracted? Can I connect using the ethernet cable that goes from my xbox to my router to my pc or do I need to do it a different way? Can someone plesase help me do this. No one around here (remote part of pa) mods and I already screwed up one chip and I cant afford to do it again. Plus I bought a probrammer and it doesnt work so I was thinking if I get this box runnning I could hotflash or hotswap. Also, will 5035 work on the 1.6 AND 1.6b. I am using the sodierless adapter. Can someone plesase help!

Thanks!

5035 works on 1.0-1.6 versions. There is a different file to use for the 1.6 versions though so make sure you get that sorted. it should come in the same rar file though.

You can connect your xbox direct to your pc via a crossover cable, or you can use a router and straight patch cables. Both work, choice is yours.

No dummy or renaming or iso is required for http flash, just extract from rar and upload via internet explorer.

x2_5035_v16plus_512k
BIN File
512KB

and do i just browse and choose that file ONLY to flash?

What tool do I need to connect my x-box so I can http or do I just need IE?

That is the correct file.

To directly connect your Xbox to your PC, you will need a crossover cable. If you have a router, just plug a regular cat5 cable into the router, and the Xbox.

For HTTP flashing, see here.

3.03 doesn't work very well on a 1.6. When you flash, you will flash over your 3.01 which is on bank 1. It doesn't matter what bank you boot from, Flashbios always flashes bank 1 with the first 512k of a bios file, and bank 2 with the second 512k.

The X2.6 doesn't have anything to do with the flashing. It is flashbios, and yes that is how it works.
