Huge Problems

Hi,

I currentely *had* a working 1.6b xbox with a x3 installed and a 160gb western digital hd. One day my brother was playing xbox live and got banned, so he tried changing the eeeprom settings on the xbox to one that our friend wasn't using. He used a program called ConfigMagic and loaded the eeprom data but forgot to mount our current xbox info somehow..... Now when we boot up our xbox all we get is a blank screen and our cd-rom drive won't open. Any suggestions how to fix this, or will I have to buy a new xbox. All I hope that if I buy a new box that I can reuse the xbox and hd. I can rma the hd, but I hope I can reuse the mod.

stick an unlocked hard drive into your xbox and then restore your eeprom with the x3, then put your 160 back in and it should work. this should work if you backed up the eeprom onto the chip.
