I am about to give up but don't want to!?

I have been trying and trying to flash my Xecuter 2.6CE with X2.5032 and can't get it to work. I have been using Evox M8+ just fine but want to switch to X2. After flashing with 5032 my F drive doesn't show. I have read post after post trying to fix this myself. I used hex editor, X2ool and a different one to make it work but still no luck. This is what I do: Use X2ool to change to F gets all, use X2 Bios manager and load the modified 5032 bios to bank 1&2 then flashbios3.01 to banks 3&4, save it as 1MB bios FTP to c:/BIOS, use FlashX1.2 to flash. After completed, I reboot and F drive doesn't work. It is very frustrating. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please?

I have a v1.6 by the way.

Are u using the most current x2ool (X2ool v1.0.1b5) and U shouldn't have to change f gets all I think thats the default.

Have you tried booting with out the x2config.ini?

what size hdd do you have also did you use the right 5032bios for your xbox version try lba48 f: gets 137gb and g: gets none

wait wait wait. wtf?!?! its a 512k bios. dont go 1mb on it. just load x2_5032_vOld_512k.bin to banks 1-2. and have your old bios on banks 3-4 for backup. lba48 options - (due to how big / small your HDD is) - F: gets 137gb and G: gets none, or F: gets 137gb and G: gets rest. b/c u said F: gets all wont work. so try those.

ryknow27 wouldn't want to use the x2_5032_vOld_512k if they have a v1.6 box
they need to be flashing with x2_5032_v16plus_512k

you can load flashbios onto the second bank of the chip as a good backup or keep the evox bios as mentioned before

I have a v1.6 xbox so I was using x2_5032_v16plus_512k. I was using a 1MB file with half of it being flashibos301. I have a 160GB hdd. I haven't tried booting without the x2config.ini. I also haven't tried as F gets 137/G rest because I don't have my hdd set up that way. I don't have a G drive. I will try without the x2config.ini. Thanks again for the help,

Ok...

When i flash it as f gets 137/G gets rest...It works fine except I am losing about 3 or more gigs from F. Will it hurt if I keep it this way or should I keep trying for F gets all or just go back M8+...which I really don't want to do!

if you want to use x2-5032 bios then keep it how it is. if not go back to M8

ffs noobs - the lba48 options are the same for all bios's - there is no special method or different ways of doing anything with this code

its stunning that thousands have no problems at all but a handful can never get sh*t to work correctloy - even tho the instructions are the same for everyone

my advice is to stick to evox m8 - limited bios for limited setup knowledge.

Thanks for the advice Xecuter and this is meant as no offense to you but, I would rather use X2 bios. I know you see all kinds of stupid questions being asked on here everyday. I never suggested that the instructions were wrong or that they were different for me, I followed them exactly how it states many different times and different ways. I also read a lot of threads trying to figure it out on my own before asking for help. How does one get away from being a noob if not by troubleshooting and asking questions. Everyone was a noob at some point, even though I don't really consider myself to be one. I have modded 5 xboxs now and I had several problems along the way and I always corrected them on my own by researching. This is the first time I had to ask for help because it was really pissing me off. I am fairly new to the whole scene. There are a lot of things I learned since I started about 1 1/2 years ago and there is certainly a lot more I would like to learn. Sorry if I inconvenienced you.

I'm asuming you have used much of your F drive and don't have any back ups on your computer. What you might have to do, which you really shouldn't have to do, is reformat the F drive. but if you do reformat, you know you'll loose all your data on the F. I've updated the 5028 bios and went back the th 4978 bios, but I'm about to reflash to the 5032 bios. if you go back to the M8 bios just to have access to your F drive and copy the files to your computer, and once that's done reflash to the 5032 bios and see if that works.

How about reflashing back to the M8 bios and then back to the 5032 bios w/out making any changes to it?
