i am trying to get my xbox hook up with a vga port

i have a vga port in my xbox and when i connect it to the montior it load the splash screen and, when it goes to load the MSdash the montior screen goes black but if i load my linux bios it load no problem (just the green tint) so i know the circuit i build it working fine.

I try the switches in different ways still just the splash screen load and then back to a black screen . if any body know what i am doing plese let me know any thing will be helpful

Are you using a purchased cable or homemade? Just out o curiosity i use the vga cable on my pc monitor.

With the latest MS Dashboard (version 5960) you can simultaneously press and hold the

Left Trigger
Right Trigger
Left Thumbstick (click down and hold)
Right Thumstick (click down and hold)

Press and hold all 4 at the same time. This will switch between standard definition and 480p. See if that helps.
