So i've had my X3 chip in since it came out, no problems, update to new bios regulalry...works fine...today all of the sudden it desides to not let me turn the mod chip off:
-holding down either button does nothing (light goes blue, red, blue) the same as a "quick press"
-so i go to the bio menu (white) and decide i'll turn it off from there.....last time i checked that was an option, but its not there anymore....wtf
-turn mod chip off to try the dual combo press to go into "safe mode"....no result: same as pressing, or holding down either button

now i haven't done anything different to it, and it hasn't moved. i recovered my xbl accound yesterday and played ddr...today i played halo2 to get the update and played some online too....that seems to have be when it stopped working....after playing halo2..
there's a dashed line in my bios menu above 'reboot to dash' that was the debug mode or somethin right?
??????????????????????????????????
HOW DO I TURN MY MOD CHIP OFF
??????????????????????????????????
tnx

Did you properly install the chip as well as the part that intercepts the power button/eject button presses? (Separate board from the x3 itself)

NO
it is installed correctly because it has worked all the 3 months i've had it...just recently, with out doing anything to it i cannot hold down the power or eject to disable the mod chip. also, i cannot get it to go into back up mode by pressing both. nly thing i can figure out is that the wiring came loose? but then would it even turn on at all?
what it does now, regardless of which button is pressed or how long:
flashes blue, red, blue.

tnx
