I cannot navigate the FlashBIOS menu

can anyone help me with this problem.

i built in a xecuter3.0 ce in my xbox 1.6
everything seems to work fine, but when the flashbios 3.01 starts
(without any error code) then i cannot select a menu item.
al the buttons on the controler won't work

the only thing i found was the flashbios tutorial on the team xecuter website.

c. If you cannot navigate the FlashBIOS menu - have only one controller plugged in, unplug any DVD dongles or memory cards, try to use an original MS controller.


but even this won't work. (it looks like the xbox crashes)


when i start the original ms bios then everything works fine.

switching to flashbios 3.03 won't even work.

switch settings on, on, off, off, off.

flash protection on the mod switch off (red led).

man can you help me i got my buddy to make me a bios cd ok i put it in and it started loading the yellow bar went across then the green bar started and it stop and it just froze up on me so mod chip told me that i had a bad bios cd and for me to boot and ree do it but how do you ree boot it i cant get it back on the flishbios screen

I am having the EXACT same problem. XBOX 1.0, X3CE, and same behavior. I can bypass the X3 by holding the power button and my controllers work. If I boot to FlashBIOS, I can't do anything.

Fixed mine. Read around some more. Used an original XBOX controller and it worked for me.

I had a similar problem. I unplugged all the stuff from the controller, as well as the dvd receiver, and still same problem. Solved it by using the *old* Xbox controller a.k.a "big ugly" That got me rolling, and since flashing the bios, all has been good.
