any1? ok well if i resort to a new chip do i JUST need to buy the chip and no switches? casue i already got switches

i keep doing that over and over again also wen its set to off on off off off

also wen i flash on the tv it said flash bios v3.0.1 and on my computer it said flash bios v3.0.0

i didnt get it ok chip is BROKEN i had to resort to a softmod

i took out chip
loaded a softmod installer
deleted C drive and put on a fresh ms dash
and installed softmod

work great =D

Hi you assisted me a bit ago DJBOOBY about flashing the chip X3. Now i have already told you that i made the mistake of flashing X2 Bios now you said make sure the chip is set to on, on, off,off,off. I use the Xecuter3 LCD control panel it has 4 small buttons and the protect button, now does the protect button count as being a on when its supposed to be disabled to flash? ...once thats corrected what should i be seeing on screen as i would boot X3 from a disc? because what im getting now is X2 Config Live loading then X logo then nothing. Should it just load the Xecuter BIOS screen like it once did? sry for all the questions im just anxious to get this thing working.

DJDOOBY....DJDOOBY, i did what you said hold both buttons at the same time.....over and over again and you guessed it nothing happened, i apologize in advance for my rudeness but i am frustrated i can't figure it out and i'm relying on your help.plese reply with various solutions and explanations, i'm also having a friend come over who knows more about computers and electronics tomorrow. hope we get it together.:rolleyes: -thanks FRAGman

you must have a v1.6b xbox try switch setting

Bank 2: off on on on
Bank 3: on off on on
Bank 4: off off on on
Bank 5: on on off on
Bank 6: off on off on
Bank 7: on off off on
Bank 8: off off off on
FLASHBIOS 3.0.1 WORK ON V1.0 TO V1.6 XBOX BUT NOT V1.6B
FLASHBIOS 3.0.3 WORK ON V1.0 TO V1.6B XBOX BUT NOT V1.6
IF FLASHBIOS IS STILL NOT WORKING
DO YOU STILL HAVE WORKING X2 BIOS ON CHIP IF SO
get flashx3 download WILL BE NAMED FLASHX3 (xbins)FLASHX3 IS FLASHX2 THAT BEEN SETUP FOR X3
get flashbios 3.0.3
open flashx3 if still a rar file
put flashbios 3.0.3 in a folder called "bios" thats in flashx3 itself
then ftp flashx3 folder to xbox
install flashx3 into E:/apps if thats were your apps are
now boot to your dash using x2 bios
then run flashx3
now without rebooting xbox change your switch to on on off off
now flash the chip with flashx3 do hard drive flash find flashbios 3.0.3 in bios folder
now
reboot xbox you will have flashbios3.0.3 on your x3 chip
now while still in flashbios flash Bank 8: off off off on with flashbios 3.0.3
this is so you can flash the frist bank with x3 bios Bank 1234: on on off off
will cover how too flash backup bank later

if you do not have a hacked dash you may need to install one

if no dash you can try this

 get flashx3 download (xbins)
get flashbios 3.0.3
open flashx3 if still a rar file
put flashbios 3.0.3 in a folder called "bios" thats in flashx3 itself
make it into a iso then burn to cd-rw place into xbox then reboot you should see flashx3 do a flash from (cant remember this part so look around i try it later my self )TRY CD FLASH
flash bank 1 on on off off
reboot xbox you will have flashbios3.0.3 on your x3 chip
now while still in flashbios flash Bank 8: off off off on with flashbios 3.0.3
this is so you can flash the frist bank with x3 bios Bank 1234: on on off off

SORRY IF ITS A BIT RUSHED BUT I BEEN WORKING UP TO 12 HOUR DAYS FOR THE LAST TWO WEEKS
