Hi Folks,

I have installed my X3 :)

I have managed to connect it to my home network :D

I have even managed to flash it (I think)

But when I turn on I get the pink flubber, then a screen asking me to enter a password. If I enter a password and hit the "Y" button it tells me I've entered the wrong password and try again.

 :? :x

Any ideas would be great.

I'll happily delete the X3 bios I've put on there. I'll happily put the 3.0.1 bios into bank one and two. I'll do anything to get this working (apart from take the X3 chip out again!)

Thanks in advance.

TC ;o)

Heat gunning GPU with CPU heatsink still on

I bought a used Xbox 360 with E74 error on ebay to replace my recently banned 360. I did the X-Clamp replacement and baked it using the overheat method. Put a fan on the little gpu heat pipe heat sink which actually keeps it very cool. Heat pipes ftw. But anyways, when I first turn the system on and load up a game many times the screen will get weird colored lines, like a test pattern on a tv station. If I let it run for a minute to warm up and then restart the xbox it will usually run fine for the rest of the time i'm using it. I don't think overheating it got the gpu hot enough to fix the solder connection so I'm probably going to have to take the heat sink off and heat it up with a heat gun. My question is, would it be ok to just take off the gpu heat sink, or would I run the risk of warping the board if I heat up the gpu area with the CPU heat sink still bolted on tight. Could I just loosen up the screws on the CPU heat sink so its not pulling on the board or should I remove it completely?

Thanks :)
