I can't select a FLASHbios Option!

Help!!!! I installed X3 on 1.0 and every thing looks good except when I go to select which option I want to flash bios the controller won't move the highlight or select anything. Any solutions?

Are you using the original MS controller? They work the best.

Yes I'm Using the original MS Controller. Sorry I should've mentioned that...

Grab another controller or a DVD dongle & remote control.

Unplug and replug the controller (with bios page up), and then try again.

yes Ive tried unplugging and plugging. I don;t own a DVD dongle.....!!!!!

borry a dvd remote from a friend, or borrow another controller, or i fyou have a usb adapter, try using a usb keyboard.

I have exact the same problem. with DuoX2 Cromwell
the menues don't work on 3.0.3 or 2.43

Original controller (tryed 2 pcs)

i switch chip on tha fail xbox to a working xbox and it fails there to.

i take the working chip and put in the failing xbox and it works so it must be the chip.

any ideas ?

I just recently had the same problem with my xbox, I ended grabbing another (seemly identical) MS Controller and it worked fine.

The other controller btw, worked fine on a normal bootup into the MS screen..

original controller, no memory cards or anything else in the other ports. or the dvd dongle as rookio stated. this has been the solution forever.
