Not RGHable on 15574 and even if it was you would not be able to restore DVD functionality on retail dash as the dummy.bin data is lost. The only thing I can think of would be to look into having the PCB repaired.

Was there any smoke involved when you plugged it in or is JF just not picking it up?

Im 90% shure it is a liteon-0225
I can fix it, easily in fact.

One of two things has happened.

1. You blew a cap and a 0 ohm resistor.

In this case, its a very easy fix. Replace the cap and resistor

2. You blew more stuff further down the line, making it not worth trying to diagnose.

In this case, a MT chip swap to a new PCB would bring it right back. Easy stuff for someone good at lifting chips and soldering.

Very rarely is the MT chip actually fried when you plug in a slim upside-down.

Joe, do you know of a source for MXIC chip's?
If you are looking for mt1339e + spi, there are typically china sellers on ebay that offer them for reasonable prices ~$20. Plus the Maximus SPI QSB for like $2 is always a good buy.

EDIT: if you do a search in ebay for mt1335, it should bring up results for both some mt1335 and mt1339s for you.

Yep, eBay item number 170913415420 seems to be the best price, one of two sellers I've found, both China-based..gonna be ordering a few soon myself to try IC swaps.

i can vouch for mujihome as a good seller, actually.

One of the SPIs they sent me was bad. When i told them, they actually immediately sent out a replacement for me. Fast communication.

Those prices are a bit crazy IMO as I have a source for whole MXIC PCB's for $20.
care to share? $20 for a whole PCB is outrageous to me
