I get Frag WITH chip in, and i get frag WITHOUT chip in v1.0

Hey, i was wonderin if anyone cud help me, im a noob, but i do know how boring another FRAG post can be, but i need help, I have a version 1.0 xbox, an Xecuter 3 chip with pro switch lcd and Xapt3r. Before i started i has to get all the solder out of the LPC ports, i also took the solder out if the Sqauare Bit too. I put the xapt3r on it, screwd it on, and powerd the xbox up, 3 blue lights and one bright red one. so i fiddled about and i think i found the d0 point because the light wasn't as bright anymore. I put the chip ontop, turned it on and both blue leds came on on the chip. I then put on the non solder power eject switch thingy no problems, remember the v1.0 has a separate daughter chip for the contoller ports i think. I couldnt b assed with the Lan and hdd lights, asa itt was more soldering and i could do that later. I installed the pro switch and turnd it all on, pluggd into tv too and the switch had a v faint red and blue led in it, but nothing shining out the X. It was also Fragging. But unfortunately i had modded my case with blue leds, so it just fllashed blue. I ran over installation again, but no. Still not working. So i took out ALL the mods, leaving just the normal xbox, turnd it on, and it was STILL fragging!!!! Any ideas guys?

Ok, i now have everything installed, hard drive, dvd drive, all connected, xapt3r is showing lights, appart from one small red one (not bright) chips got 2 blue leds, power switch thibg is in, pro switch is connected, but still no colour in the X it all boots up wen i press power, but it does the flubber and goes to the m$ dash. hmmmmm.... i think its still frag, but i have a blue light there instead s im not sure! its still flashing anyway. Also when i press the power button it just restarts instead of turning off.

If i knew that i wudn't b askin u how i f**ked it up!!!

I followed the xapter installation, and also used those Xapt3r pics as a guidence, and got the d0 point right i think, i no longer have any red lights on the xat3r only 3 blue ones. The xbox boots up, but ALWAYS goes to m$ dash! wats happnin???

if u cud help id b very very pleased, it was an XMas prezzie!!! So if i have managed to fuk up the desoldering part and damaged the lpc, what can i do? i must admit, i used a portable soldering iron which is gas powerd because i couldnt find my normal one, but i was careful and seemed to get all the solder out using a solder sucker.

Well, if you used one of those gas blow torches, you most certainly did some damage to the motherboard. That is way too much heat. You are going to have to get a magnifying glass, and take a very close look at the LPC area. Look for burned or damaged traces. You may have also melted one of the small resistors in the area off the board. Compare your LPC area with the one in the install tutorial's pictures to see if there are any resistors missing.

Just a side note, if you ever do another solderless adaptor, you don't have to remove the solder from the LPC holes, it will work fine with the solder in there.

It looks ok, but i may of missed something. Now it doesnt frag at all, but 3 blue lights and 1 red, and on the chip has 2 blue lights, everything connected, the xbox starts, boots up flubber, m$ dash, opens the cd drive, but the eject button doesnt work, so i push the drive bak in, and the rest is as normal, it starts playing game, even with chip in and everything. :s so what can i do? if it is lpc damage, can i fix it? or use those little metal things that came with the xapt3r?

Ok, don't get so pissed, anyways. Hmmm.........

Assuming you:
-Boot to M$ dash
-Can't boot enabled
-Can't boot disabled

If the above it the case, the d0 just doesn't have full contact with the point. Just try repositioning it and make sure it doesn't get pressed or contacted by anything else in the case. (i.e. DVD drive, ide cable, or something else)

i know this sounds rite noobish, but are you talking about the little wire on the xapt3r? because what is the other d0 point? the one you have to solder that over the other side of the motherboard, do i need to do anything to that d0? :lol: heh. Umm and also there is nothing coming up on the pro stitch, or the normal one, only 2 very faint red and blue leds inside it.

No problem.

Anyways, you're saying the lights are faint if they come on at all , right? If that is the case, you just don't have a proper connection to the mobo. Just try repositioning your chip until you get a full light. If you really can't get this to work, check to make sure the Xapt3r stays parallel to the mobo everywhere. Some people have had problems with a chip causing it not to sit right.

Also, the little gold wire sticking out is the d0. All you have to do, is make that wire touch the top d0 point......

Yeah, im fairly sure i know where the v 1.0 hole is, i followed the xapter guide. There are two faint lights in the pro switch one red one blue, but even when i press the protect switch or any of the bank switches nothing changes. lights stay the same dimness, what i dont understand is why are the 2 blue lights on my chip bright as hell if there was a bad connection? and doent that mean the chip is alive and kicking? i get 3 blue lights and one bright red, that goes to a dimmer red after about a second of bootup, on the xecut3r but on the xecut3r news pics, there are 4 blue led lights.

well if you used a soldering iron that is too powerful it is highly probable that you fried your motherboard.

Update New Dashboard before flashing to LT Plus...help!!

Hey guys,

I think i make a mistake... i updated my dashboard offline (USB) while i was on the iXtreme 1.6 (Liteon). After that, i try to play with AC3 and now no more Backup game is working (Not even the one that was working before (ex: NHL 2010, AC2). I flash my drive to LT plus, still the same problem..

I just saw that even if i updated my dashboard offline (2.0.12611.0), when i log on to my avator, it's still ask me for a new update??

What should i do?

Go back to the stock firmware and them, do the update via network and reflash to LT plus?

hum.. i use xval and the result is Secdata is Clean.

I don't understand, i reflash my drive to stock, log in to XBL and accept all the new term. Reflash back to LT plus v1.1 (came out today) still doesn't work.... i can't play any backup game..
