If you can still FTP here's what you do....
Connect to the xbox. Load EvolutionX and all of its folder into the C:// partition, this should automatically makr evox your default dashboard.
Edit the evox.ini file. To look something like this under the [MENU]:
[Menu]
Section "Root"
{
#Item "Play Game from Disk",ID_Launch_DVD
# Item "Trainers",ID_trainer
#Item "MS Dashboard",ID_MS_Dash
#Item "Reboot",ID_Quick_Reboot
#Item "Power Cycle",ID_Full_Reboot
#Item "Power Off",ID_Power_Off
#Item "Lock Harddisk",@210
# Item "Unlock Harddisk",@211
Section "System Utilities"
{
# Item "Settings",ID_Settings
Item "Flash BIOS",ID_Flash_Bios
# Item "Backup",ID_Backup
# Item "Skins",ID_Skins
}
#Section "Games & Applications"
{
Section "Games"
{
AutoAddItem "f:\games\"
SortAll
}
Section "Apps"
{
AutoAddItem "f:\apps\"
SortAll
}
}
}
Now with the '#'s infront of your menu options, you should only have 'System Utilities' available on the dashboard menu, provided you can see the screen, which you can't.
Before you disconnect your FTP connection, open up your bios folder. make sure the only bios you have loaded in this folder is the 'x2 5035 for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs or x2 5035 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs'
Now disconect, and power the xbox up and make sure your connected to the TV. You should still heard the 'flubber screen' but not see it, then you should here the evox dashboard. I can't really decribe intelligently the sound of the dashboard, but you will hear some kind of "hollow empty sound". Since the dashboard has only one option to it, System Utilities, push the 'A' button. You should now be on the Flash Bios menu, push 'A' again.
Now if you could see the screen, you would see the bios' you loaded in the bios folder during you network connection. Since you only loaded one, push the 'A' button again. Now it will give you the option the confirm your Flash by pushing 'Y'. Since you cant' see it, push 'Y'.
It should take about thirty seconds and then the xbox will power off automatically. If it didn't power off, try again. If it did power off, turn it back on and if you see the flubber, you flashed the correct bios. It you still have audio and no sound, then you need to load another bios in the bios folder. Good Luck!
