I have jtagged so many xenons/jaspers/falcons that I have lost count at this point.....but zephyr I had never done until this week and will NEVER do one again!
I have fought for 2 days straight with this p.o.s. and still can't get it to boot past e79 when xell is installed!
A) Installed nand-x wires and jtag wires
B) Dumped 4 copies of nand and all dumped fine without errors (compared to make sure they were identical)
C) Opened with degraded and made sure they were exploitable (which it is....Zephyr dash updated to 7371 from 57XX, CB of 4558)
D) Installed xell
F) Boot....to e79
I checked my wiring, everything looked fine so I flashed back the original nand and it boots up to dashboard. Flash xell again, e79!
So, I decided to install alternate JTAG SMC/Points.
Install xell, boot to e79 again! Original boots to dashboard, but NOT xell!
So, I decide worst case scenario, I take it to the local radio repair shop to have him solder it (since he's been soldering for 40+ years).
He solders it back to the normal way...flash xell, boots to e79!
He looks at me stunned, solders the quick solder board and we try all the switch settings and STILL get e79!
Long story short....I give up! I'm not touching this stupid console anymore and I vow to never do zephyrs again! I guess I will just sell this one for my customer and try to find him ANYTHING other than a stupid zephyr!
