I have 1957 how to update if control panel isnt installed to 1959? I havent found any post explaining this on what steps I need to follow in order to flash it. :?:

ok i think i know what you mean you are on 1957 bios and you want 1959... if so just boot the back up and flash it again with the 1959

But I have to boot to the back up pressing power and eject or just boting to x config live will do the trick also why I need to update if I havent found any problems with 1957

Anydash will work with the bios!
or at least they all work for me.
it shouldn't matter what dash you use in conjuction with whatever bios you have.

downgrade from LT

is it posible to downgrade from LT back to say either 1.5 / 1.6
just wondering if anybody had tried it,
the resean i was askin id cos i heard rumors LT has compatbility issues with non verb disks, so i dont really want update to LT f this is the case.

What's your problem with Verbatims? And that was like 2 or 3 months ago when they were having that issue, but my friend hasn't had a problem playing many differnt types of discs with LT

I havent tried downgrading yet, but I only use memorex dvds and I have never had a problem playing them on the LT and I have been upgraded since it came out.

I don't know about all that... it could be that whoever told you that's laser is going bad or something.
I use all sorts of dvd-dl discs including some sony's now and they work just fine...

the liteon erase command then write command will put any liteon firmware onto your drive,just make sure you have a copy of your original firmware for future upgrades before installing LT as its based on 93 liteon firmware. so 74 and 83v1 dumping methods wont work no more,but if you have your original firmware/dummy no need to dump anymore.
Get a dump of your liteon firmware first and save it safely.360modderlite1010 said:

swop the drive flash your key and install ix 1.61

cant see a prob with LT verbs discs are cheap less than a £1 UK i dont play old games so doesnt cause a prob for me
surely if its that much of a problem you need to leave the scene and pay for games, £40 a game in uk £1 a disc is nothing
