Hello, i read hundreds of posts but i can't find a solution for my problem.
At this point a would like to throw my xbox out of the window, i have no
clue what i do wrong. I have a xbox 1.6 (yes i checked the ram) and a
executer 2.6ce modchip. I do a rebuild pcb, because i have a xbox 1.6 and i
connected the lan & hdd wire. I put the mainboard back in the xbox chase
(without the screws) and i tested it. YES, it works, the blue light on the
chip is on, i get a error 13 (dashboard). Then i installed evox and al
works fine. I copied a backup and al works well.
I put on the xbox back together, with screws and mounted the switches (chip en/dis, banks, flash protected) at the front of the xbox. I put on the
power and FRAGS, aagrh. Boot 3 times etc. Then i removed the pcb rebuild
completely, just to check of the soldering was right. And i soldering the
pcb rebuild back on the mainboard. As i sayed to myself, the soldering was
pretty good the second time. I connect my xbox and i get a error code 5.
HDD not locked . Hmmm, i read on your forum, this is not possible, because
a 2.6 modchip must always boot if youre hd is locked or not. But for sure,
i locked my hd in my computer and put it back in my xbox. Now i boot the
xbox, error 6, Cannot unlock HDD. Aargh, i just locked it. I put the hd
back in my pc, unlocked it, and put it back in my xbox. Power on the xbox,
error 5 again. The blue light on the chip is on, means this the chip is
working?? If i boot the xbox with the modchip disabled, i get also the
error 5 code. I also tested the hd i another xbox, YES, it booted with evox
and i can play the backup game that i copied before. The hd is working perfectly in another xbox, but not in mine.
I got stocked, i don't know what i do wrong. I have a backup 2.6 modchip,
that works 100%, i tested it and also i get a error 5. I hope you guys can help me with this problem. I am out of idea's.Sorry for my 'crappy' english, i am not so good in writing it. I hope not my xbox mainboard is fried. It booted once correctly with evox, but didn't after mounted the xbox back together.
