I have searched but no info on my problem w/Xecuter 3!! Help

Ok...I have a 1.6 Xbox and I installed a Xecuter 3. I also installed the LPC Now my problem is when I turn the Xbox on sometimes the X logo on the Dip switch turns red then a message comes up saying there has been a error )or something like that). I turn the box off then on again and the Logo is blue. This happens 2 of the 5 times I boot up. Now I have a Samsung drive and I can not find any cd-rw's that work. I booted the Bios and it took with a Fujifilm cd-rw but when I use the same media to load the slayers Auto installer it will not read? What am I doing wrong. I never had this much problems when I had a Xecuter 2.1 in my other box! Could someone point me in the right direction for properly putting Slayers 2.6 on my Xbox? I have search but this has me stumped!!! Please help!

you do know that when you quickly tap the power button, the mod is enabled (blue X3 logo). When you hold it for a second, the mod is disabled(red X3 logo). If you press both power and eject at the same time, you'll boot to the 256k backup bank (purple X3 logo).

It sounds to me like your not creating the Slayer disk correctly becuase if your able to boot to the BIOS disk and flash your BIOS its not your cdrom. I would read the tutorials on making cd's and the Slayer manual.

First of all, a quick tap on the power button boots with chip enabled, a longer press of the power button will boot with the chip disabled. Second of all, I had a similar problem with media in my samsung drive. I could flash from a particular disk one minute, but the drive wouldn't read it the next when I wanted to install Slayers. I recommend to keep trying with various media, using various burn apps. Personally, I couldn't get my Samsung drive to read anything from Nero.

You are correct when saying it will boot one min and not the next! And I will try different media. Is there a better burning program out there? Iam using Nero. Thanks guys for all your help!

Forget slayer's. Get a dashboard, I prefer avalaunch, and put all the dashboard files on the root directory of the C drive:

C:\media\
C:\shoutcast\
C:\avalaunch.xbe
C:\avalaunch.xml

or

C:\evoxdash.xbe
C:\evox.ini

I find that ALCOHOL 120% is a lot better than Nero give it a try.
I have had no problems with Alcohol 120% but a few DVD's have not worked when burned with Nero

You have to update your config file (avalunch.xml).

It's looking in E:\apps for your applications, if they aren't there, it won't show them. You can edit that XML file in notepad on your computer. It's easy to pick up. PM me if you have problems.

spoofing drives

ok all i have a bad drive that didnt work so i order 1.........now my brother gave me a red ring 360 with a benq drive in now what do i have to do to spoof my drive to a benq i have the files for the drive that didnt work thanx

i have a lite-on with a bad drive i have a benq drive i wanna spoof what firmware can i use can i use original firmware

dump the BenQ fw
load the lite-on fw as source
load the BenQ fw as target
hit spoof source to target
flash BenQ

I am pretty sure you can spoof stock firmware if it does not work then just use LT 1.1, try it with stock firmware first if you do not want to play burnt games.

using jf at the MTK flash 32 tab hit benQ unlock then drive will be in vendor mode then you can hit read to dump the fw.

if you have the dummy.bin from the lite-on drive then you can use that as the source.

BenQ firmware must go on the BenQ drive.

ok it gave me a BENQ_OFW so i put that in my open target firmware then hit spoof then hit save to file it gives me a Benq_cfw.bin

now with the benq file were do i go from here

once you have the benQ fw made with your key go back to the mtk flash 32 tab make sure the drive is still in vendor mode and hit write.

everything is covered in the jungle flasher tutorial.
