I hope this is not a repeat, i didnt see it in the post. I installed my chip triple checked my solder followed the tutorial step by step, took me a week to get to this point. Anyway when i turn on my xbox and got the flashbios 3.0.0 screen i put the x3_1959 and renamed it x3_1959.bin with the dummy.bin on to a disk it said "process halt no updated imformation foud." So i networked flashed from the tutorial with the switches for the bank set( on on off off off). The xbox cut off and when i turned it on i got the blank screen. The X3 light on the chip is solid blue as it was before. if i turn it off and back on with switches (on off on off off) it goes back to the flashbios 3.0.0 and if i do switches(on off off off off) same flashbios 3.0.0 on the screen or any other combination. What to do? I'm stuck. Please help.

Set your switches to off off off off.

Boot to FlashBIOS

Network Flash

Flash over X3 1959 1MB.

Set switches to on on off off.

Xbox should boot to X3 1959.

If you use a cd burn you have to name the file bios.bin and then add the dummy file.

yes, the back up bios still works. If i cant get it can i just install a dashboard on the flashbios 3.0.0 For I wil try the 1234 right now. is there sominthing with the file? when i extracted it with winRAR i changed the name to X3_1959.bin was that wrong? Thank you again for the time you are spending with this issue i have.

Sounds like you've wiped your main bios, so I'll reiterate what Martin wrote with a few additions in bold:

Set your switches to off off off off off.

Boot to the backup FlashBIOS by pressing both power and eject at the same time (X3 panel should be lit purple)

Network Flash

Flash over X3 1959 1MB.

Wait for XBOX to shutdown after flash completion

Set switches to on on off off on.

Xbox should boot to X3 1959.

I hope the additions were enough clarification to get things working for you :)

What is meant by "Flash over 1959." could this be a solder peoblem or doi have a bad chip. i tried so hard to take care and be good at it and i cant even get it to work.

I said to download the X3 1959 BIOS.

when i extracted it with winRAR i changed the name to X3_1959.bin was that wrong
So let me get this straight - you downloaded the FlashBIOS and renamed the flashbios.bin file to x3_1959.bin.

I give up...

Come back once you've read the quick help guides.

no no no, i downloaded x3_1959.rar used winrar to extract the x3_1959.bin and changed that name bios.bin, then burned that to a disk with the dummy file. That is when i got the no updated imformation found.

Well that's not what you said and CERTAINLY not the impression you gave!

If i cant get it can i just install a dashboard on the flashbios 3.0.0 For I wil try the 1234 right now. is there sominthing with the file? when i extracted it with winRAR i changed the name to X3_1959.bin was that wrong?
Doesn't really support what you meant. Also,

is there a difference between the X3_1959.bin and the flashbios_v303.bin?
*this* made me really think - do you know what a FlashBIOS is??? If not, then go and read the FlashBIOS guides, the FAQs and stickys (as well as hundreds of posts regarding flashBIOS.

Of course there's a difference!!!

Now, for flashing: if you can, use the network flash option as it's much easier than having to burn a CD etc.

Read the flashbios guides on how this is done.

Martin

PS - I've just noticed you posted this in the wrong forum so I'm moving it ;)

Playing Xbox 1 backups on Xbox 360 iXtreme LT

Hi everyone,

I had just registered on this forum, but been reading it for some time.

I have an xbox original ISO(copy) which I would like to play on my modded Xbox 360 (Lite-on, iXtreme LT).
Tried searching for it on this forum, other forums, google, you name it, but came up with only some obsolete tutorials (from 2006).

Could somebody give an advice how to burn the ISO and what media to use(DVD+R?, DVD+RDL?, ...)?

ISO is 629MB in size (Micro Machines)...

Thank you!

For all xbox 1 backups you still need to burn them too a DVD+R DL Disc. :)
