Been working on this three days setting up. It's been fun learning. Getting a bit stuck at the transferring files via USB. The only way i can get it to work is FTP, and once I got it to connect with goldleaf and ns-usbloader. Tried a few other ways, but the only time i got it to work was that time. have the libusb driver installed. cant figure out where I'm messing up. any help on a rock solid easy method to transfer files I'd greatly appreciate the advice.

Got Nut going, but under USB it says Not Connected. close on that method to success. I have tinfoil, but whenever i click it *** shop pops up. Only been doing this a few days because I'm bored sitting here in quarantine and dont have anything to entertain me.

Good news, there's a simple homebrew I use to transfer files via USB, it's called nxmtp. You can download it here: https://github.com/liuervehc/nxmtp/releases

Open homebrew, connect USB, see your Switch on your computer like an MP3 player. I made a video here: (the first half is showing how to use FTP).

Now, if by "transfer files via USB" you mean "Install .ns* or .xci files from computer via usb" I've had the same problem with tinfoil and goldleaf, so I'd recommend awoo-installer instead: https://github.com/Huntereb/Awoo-Installer . Just don't mind the anime artwork...
