First off THANK YOU ALL

I too am proud of myself as for the DVD window I don't think you wanna know but here goes.......
1-cut the X box case to size, You see how big I went I tried to keep it linear
As far as the actual DVD tray here goes.....

First I took apart my DVD drive "CAREFULLY!!!"
once taken apart I used a blow dryey to peel off the sticker
Now you got the sticker off Take screw driver and place it underneath th LIP of the circle an POP the little circle OFF (you'll know what I mean when you take the sticker off)
ONCE you got that little white piece OUT put it aside 4 now
You'r going to want a pair of tin snips and you want to CUT (yes I cut ) the TOP of myy DVD rom to keep the little circle If you follow the line where the circle looks to be joined to the top what you end up with is essentially the Holder for your Plastic piece you took out earlier,
Once you have both the top and bottom parts the rest is CAKE, just get A plain old UNSCRATCHED C.D case cut it to fit the metal casing place the White plastic piece in th center and then center he METAL part on you C.D CASE A dab of hot glue (super glue WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE I used 5 minute epoxy) and have everything centered place your NEW clear C.D/DVD drive case thingy on top of the drive And confirm your all At center, HOLD it with your hand and test it by placing A dvd iv the tray, If all is well then go ahead and GLUE the C.D tray down THATS IT
Thats how I did it PLEASE keep in mind the ONLY REASON i took apart my DVD drive to begin with was because I had A spare drive to use in case of A F_ck up!!!!!!
This is in no way meant to be a tutorial FOR ANYTHING you asked and I answered

Use spray paint for plastic, krylon has one but I cant think of the name. Just take your time and mask correctly.

as for the featured xbox nice job, is the top fan functional?

The paints great, but the side fan and DVD Window are iffy. Just my two cents.

Krylon fusion is what its called and it works great on xbox cases. Limited color selection tho.

no no no if youre looking for the best posible paint job you gotta use house of color, but if you want something thats really nice, but still inexpensive try metal specks... you can get it at walmart usually right by the krylon, but the reason krylon is a third choice is because they really have no choice of colors like you said, and also they are all flat colors, no metalic effect witch means that some blemishes or scratches can show up very very easy, thats alos why i dont recomend doing a white xbox

ehhh its ok i guess, good paint but i dont like wen u cut the box and have stuff sticking out of the sides and stuff, like the fan on the left side of the box, i also would recomend putting a jewel over that fan if u can, or is it for performance? if so i dont really like that, other than that good job. i dont want u to think i dont like it or think it sux, but its just my opinions on ur addons

My tips: Ditch the side fan, and remove the front xecuter external control switch.
GJ on the modchip choice too, I have four of them.
Like the color scheme, and about your dvd window and anyone asking, there is a clear spindle you can buy somewhere but it only fits on certain drives, the rest need a small modification to it for it to work.
