The reason your getting the 8 and 9 glitches is because your wires are way to long. Cr4 works best with wires as short as possible and yours are really long

Thanks! Ill trim those up today and post an updated pic. Originally I intended to mount the chip on the DVD drive. Then when I was about to do it I had a revelation. "If I put this on here then It will be tough to take off if I ever need to replace/repair the DVD Drive." And it ended up the way you saw it.

Trimmed em up as nicely as I was comfortable with. Booted it about 20 times, and it was 1-3 cycles, but never any higher. Nice, TYVM for the suggestion. I know its common sense stuff but I guess I just needed to be told to do it directly lol. Heres the updated pic!

Thanks for the example. On this one I think I'll just leave it like this for now. I already stuck it to the board with the double sided sticky and this was literally like the 4th time I've soldered anything in my life. For the falcons you saw though, I have CR4's coming for them this week. I'll do a much better job mounting and trimming to fit. I'll post a demo for that as well, and it will be a better looking install I promise!
