i messed up..

I soldered my x3ce (xbox v1.6b). Flashbios screen came up.. instead of moving up only the 2nd dipswitch for banks 5678 i accidentally turned the 3rd dipswitch on.... and flashed.

now im screwed.. is there a way to recover the chip?

What did you change the switch setting to?
3rd one to on? so it became: off on on off off off?
Bank 34: off on on off

You should be able to recover fine if that was the case.
Try (off on off off off) again (Bank 5-8) and see if you can get back to FlashBIOS 3.0.3
Then before flashing change it to (on on off off off) Bank 1-4

Then update your backup bios once the X3 bios is on

somehow i couldn't get it to boot this way, i resettle the chip on top of the pin header and got it to boot up to flashbios again..

flashed the bios on the right banks (on on off off off). the green bar went all the way... but then said, "programming failed". i resset the xbox, and the "xecutger rox my xbox" logo appeared.. strange!!
