Ok so one of my friends friends asked me to flash his xbox I was like yeah sure. (He had already tried this on a different xbox and bricked it (or so he thought) so in exchange for flashing his xbox he gave me the bricked one) I opened it up and there wasn't a speck of dust in it. I noticed it was a falcon board and in my attempt to see his handy work on the drive noticed that he had bent on of the pins of the drive connector on the drive side. Straightened it out and this thing works like a charm... thing is that he had flashed it properly with some old firm ware. Booted it up and noticed checked the dash. K: 2.0.7371 and right above that is says Microsoft Corp. 2008? Pretty sure it is jtagable. And I have ordered a NAND-X hopefully here in a day or two.
So Questions are:
1. I know jtags run hot is it worth going ahead and doing xclamp mod?
2. Is it ok to go ahead and bridge the two solder points to keep from updating or should i wait until after I have Jtagged?
3. Is a USB thumb drive recommended? if so What size should I get?
4. Hard drive wise I have a 250 gig WD drive that i put into a Microsoft case is it possible to write all Jtag apps and dashes to it?
5. Also if all goes well best way to put GOD games on Harddrive?

R:If it is a falcon and you know how to the xclamp mode go ahead and apply a good thermal paste, you can bridge the two solder points during the jtag hack, yes you can write all the jtag apps on your 250GB WD drive and you can also have that one on the original xbox 360 HDD place and hook another external HDD using usb port.

Do some reading over

Will I need a USB harddrive for the Jtag hack its self. I've read that I will need a Flash drive (thumb drive, USB stick) for updating. Also I dont have the capture feature on my computer there for do I have to use Xell or will Xellous work also what is the difference? I noticed both are on CoolShrip's tool?

You should offer your friend some money for it, even though you technically own it now. That would be the noble thing to do.

To answer your question regarding the capture feature, just hook it up to your TV and take a picture of the cpu key.
