I need help, games/apps freeze

i have an xbox i modded with a xecuter 2.6 chip. i used Firefucker's xdisk to format/install, and everything seems to work fine, most games and apps work for awhile, but freeze occasionally. the thing is, the games/apps always seem to freeze in the same place. i have tried EVERYTHING i can think of to fix this problem. I have even bought a NEW xbox and a NEW mod-chip because i thought it was a hardware problem but it is still no go.

I have tried m8_16, m8plus_16, and the yoshiro bios (all on bank 2). i have tried using alternate dashboards (evox AND ava). I have tried installing apps/dash on C:\ and F:\, i have tried using the x-disk avalaunch installer instead of the evox.

Fight Night ALWAYS hangs while loading sparring training in career mode. dvd2xbox freezes occasionally while copying files from a cd unto the HD. Fatal frame freezes after going through the start menu.

I am seriously going crazy, i have done everything i could possibly think of. the fact that the exact same errors happened on both xbox's leads me to believe it isn't a soldering/chip problem. both are 1.6 xbox's. Could it possibly be the harddrive? or is it x-disk? i have never heard of anyone having these issues. i have spent weeks researching this online.

if anyone has any ideas, i'd appreciate the help

cheers

Have you set the date/time on the Xbox since chipping it???

It's real important you do, as if it's an illegal date the Xbox will not boot games correctly.

Re: Help with Flashing a Samsung drive

ok we started off with nothing but problems first off it ended up begin a benq drive so that wasnt much of a problem the main problem we had was keeping the system on it seemed when we let it set there it would work for a bit then a green power light started flashing then it would turn off right in middle of doing things so after 3 times of loaded JF and getting the stock firmware we hooked it up to the tv and use the controler to cyle through things and then everything went smooth :) flashed the drive and turn off the system and repowerd it and load the copy on bad co 2 right up :) so it was a success. It would had been nice to know about the power going off by its self it would had been less stressfull but i didnt read about that on any of the guides made for flashing.

Re: Help with Flashing a Samsung drive

thats why most of us use ck3 connectivity kit or similar to power the drive rather than relying on the console to do it
not only that powering the console without the sata cable plugged in to drive could get you banned

although it has been noted that the console now logs the power up of the xbox without a dvd drive attached,ms havent as yet acted upon that information ,will they in the future who knows?
