I need help setting up my Flash Bios

Hi, I'm kinda new to modding, I have physically installed my Xecuter 3 Modchip CE with the Solderless kit and everything is set up correctly according to the tutorials but I'm having alot of problems trying to make a Bios CD. I've tried following the Tutorial it has posted but my XBOX doesnt recognise the CD and just says "Waiting for Flash CD" or something like that and spits out the CD I put together using the step-by-step tutorial, http://www.teamxecuter.com/flashbios/, I have a Version 1.0 XBOX and I'd really appreciate some help. This tut should have shown you how. I had a problem with it as when I tried to make a disc with nero, the version I downloaded for free was 6.6. The bios file I named Bios.bin was renamed bios.bin.bin I named it bios and nero 6.6 named it bios.bin. Then it worked. Any Iso burning software should make your disc properly, just make sure you add the dummy though they will work without it (yes I've done it). I use Clone dvd.

Just so you know, this is caused when you have file extensions hidden in Windows....

I'm using Nero V6.6 and when picture 8 goes away it goes back to picture 7 and the disc drawer on my XBOX opens....

Anyone have any clues?

The button combos for the front of my xbox work, power=blue (modchip on), hold power=red (modchip off) hold power/eject=purple.

The switches on the front are 1(on), 2(on), 3(off), 4(off), 5(off).

If there is another guide using another program please let me know.

If anyone knows what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong let me know please.

Also I am using imation brand CD-R (80min/700MB, 1x-52x) cd's.

ok - straight away you're flashing the WRONG thing to your Xbox.

Read my Q&A in my sig.

Also, make sure (if you have to use CDs) you're using CD-RW. DVD-R is by far the best way.

What exactly do you mean by flashing the wrong thing? can you be a little more specific please? I got some DVD-Rs now also.

I just retried using a DVD-R and it got to the screen with the bar, and then my xbox turned off...
what exactly am I doing wrong, am I using the wrong X3 bios or something?

You are flashing what is already on the chip. You need a hacked bios. They are available in xbins. I answered you in your other post.
