I'm VERY confident in all of my solder points. With the chip unplugged the box boots up fine. However when the chip is plugged in, only one blue light comes on for a second then turns off. In this time there is no hdd or dvd activitiy. I think the light that doesn't come on is the one buy the 5V power source. Please help me!

so for the 5v wire you slipped it on the medal pin on the chip and soldered it to the resister on the board because thats the 5v right there i think.
yup you've got it. It's a resistor chip right by the video output jack thing. There's 5V coming through the wire, and with the wire plugged in to that one pin I'm getting 5V on the pin's solder point to the mod chip - so the chip is getting the 5V it needs. I'm really worried that my chip is fried.

check the continuity between that resister lead and the pin coming out from the chip to see if you have properly soldered it. But if thats not the case i stil think were going to need a little more info. Is your xbox fragging? WHat error code do u get or does nothing come on screen at all?

You could have a 1.6b... check the RAM manufacurer (non samsung usually = 1.6b) ... If it is a 1.6b you'll need someone to flash the bios for you... or update the flashbios to 3.0.3.
BENQ no longer working / ejecting
i tried to update the fimware on my benq to the latest ixtreme lt.
im using the ck3 pro conector and jungle flasher.
when i connected it it came up as a liteon drive in jungle flasher so i selected DUMMY from iXTREME in the dvdkey32 TAB.
i was promted to save the files and then went to select target firmware. i selected the liteon lt 748 FW and spoofed it. then tried to flash and a MSG saying that target Firmware is not BENQ. i reselected the new BENQ LT firmware spoofed it. went to mkflash 32 tab clicked BENQ UNLOCk read the drive and saved the BenQ-OFW.bin, carried on to flash the drive wich went ok but when i put it back into the xbox it is saying play dvd after few more attempts including full erase its not ejecting the drive in the xbox360.
can anyone help please

you should not have done a dummy from ixtreme if it was a benq
just because it is spoofed as a lite-on does not mean you treat it as one
should should have done the tray half open, intro device id then read the firmware
did you actually get a good read from the dummy from ixtreme, keys and such?
if so, just manually spoof those into benq LT and rewrite your firmware
