I have been trying to flash my x3 with the lastest bios on a v1.6 xbox and I am having the hardest time getting it to flash. I am using an xdapt3r 1.6 cause I can't soder that well. After the initial flash, the xbox would turn on and off and then stay off. I've tried booting the back up bios but it won't let me, the xbox just turns on and off. When I finally do get it to boot the backup, when I flash, it says halting. I'm getting fed up trying to flash my xbox. I need some help please.

hook up your DIP switch set it to off on off off off your should see FlashBios 3.03 this is the Flasher you need for a version 1.6 then flash your chip with 3294v16plus.bin which you get from http://www.xbox-scene.com/articles/xbins.php reboot then done

if you put your switch bank back on now that you have turned off flash protect off on chip it will work

try your backup bank power eject at same time as long as you have a v1.6 and not a v1.6b then this will work
use the x3 3294 v16 plus bios not the x3 3294 bios
x3 3294 v16 plus v1.6 v1.6b xboxs
x3 3294 v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs

ok try putting a X3 3294 v16plus bios on it, if u just put X3 3294, or w.e bios ur using it wont load cause v16 plus is for v1.6 xbox

Mine doesnt work with the latest bios either, Ive read elsewhere in the forums that others got it to work with bios 2914. Ive eventually got it to run fine using evox m8 bios, but im really thinking of buying the xlcd, which means i need to use an x3 bios. i may try to re-flash with 2914 and see how it goes.

had to use slayers 2.6 to finally get it going. ive seen alot of ppl in the forums with 'bad flashes', i just think there maybe a bug with the newer bios' and the x3ce. someone who knows more than i do about this any ideas?

what flashBIOS are you useing is it flashBIOS 3.0.0 or Flashbios 3.0.3....you wanna use flashBIOS 3.0.3 if its a 1.6 or 1.6b works for me ever time when i use that flash bios on a 1.6 (or any other version for that matter)
If you can get it working with m8 or X2 bioses and not X3, you might want to recheck soldering on pin 13+14.lightspeed said:

Since you have a 1.6b, make sure you always have a way to recover and never flash over your only working bios by changing the switch settings before flashing. Try to get the X3 bios working so you are able to update your backup bios.
