If FlashBIOS is not on the "other" bank (bank 1 if you're normally using bank 2, or vice versa) then you'll need to flash either by software on the box (EvoX dashboard, FlashX app), an external programmer or hot swap.
FYI, from my experience disabling the flubber animation didn't save you any time on boot, if that's what you're looking to do. At least not on the pre-X2CL BIOSes from Team Xecuter. Since the X2CL BIOS now takes the time at the beginning to allow the HDD/DVD to initialize maybe stipping out the flubber gets you in a little quicker than it did before. Dunno.
