I was TRYING ( and trying being to oppritive word) to flash my TS-H943A 360 drive last night, everything was going fine untill i tryed to use it, i had iDumped right and iFlashed right too.......well it let me do it so i assume i did it right..... well anyway, just out of curiosity i tryed an original game..didnt work...so i tryed a copyed game ( just incase the original was being funny) but it never worked, on both occasions it came up with the " please insert in an xbox 360 console" screen..

I have tryed to put my original .BIN file back on the drive but its not working either, and its only coming up as 1kb!!!!

what can i do?? is there anyway to save my dive??

or even re-program it?? i assume it can be done, as all drives HAVE to be "formatted" to run a Xbox360 game....right??

Please get back to me!!

Thanks

Sorry man but you're probably screwed at this point. If your orig.bin is only 1kb that means the hacked.bin you flashed is most likely corrupt also. You should never have proceeded with iFlash if something went wrong with iDump, and I guarantee you didn't see the correct screens and messages in Samtool when doing iDump if you ended up with a 1kb orig.bin file. You should have got a green success message and instead I'm sure you get a big red error message. The tutorial shows all of these screens very clearly and the messages that come up on the screen in Samtool tell you that something is not right.

Anyway the bottom line is you need your unique drive key in order to make your 360 work again. The only way to get that is from the DVD drive firmware. Since your files are not valid, your key is almost certainly lost. You can try opening your orig.bin and hacked.bin with Firmware Toolbox 4.5 and see if a key is displayed but I doubt it will be. There is no way to recover the key from the 360 motherboard so if your key is lost the 360 is done, it will play movies only.

yea i got that lol

but dose the disk key NEED to be unique?? I mean is it only unique to use xboxlive?? as it stands the npow i dont use it, but i was thinking....when you buy a new drive (lets say the same one) it comes WITHOUT firmware anyway....is there a way to make a new one??

Please

I don't know how to make this any more clear than I did above...you need your system's unique key to make *any* DVD drive work with your 360. This has nothing to do with Xbox Live, the 360 itself will not play games from any DVD drive without the correct key. It doesn't matter if you buy a new one. If your key is lost your 360 will only play DVD movies and there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Listen man, I know you're probably pissed about your 360 and honestly you can keep beating a dead horse for as long as you like but the bottom line is there is no way. If the key was held on the HDD I would have said that.

THERE IS NO WAY TO RECOVER A KEY IF YOU LOST IT FROM THE DVD DRIVE. PERIOD.

No matter how many times you ask the same question that is going to be the answer.
