DRIVERS I ruined the first and would like to spare the second...

I just ruined my xbox drive when I was trying to flash it. Luckily I have bought 2 new drivers not so long ago.

Here is my question :

I have xbox pro and cki3.
I have the old key & bin.
I have a brand new lite-on driver ( mine was a lite-on as well ).
I read a couple of guides and they always skip over minor details as if they were common sense, and I am sure that they are. Sadly I am not so bright in that area and would like to do this with the least damage possible.


What are the exact steps I have to take to replace the drivers.

hello buddy what Liteon Drive do you have?

also what process do you go through trying to put the latest LT fw on the drive? you can swap it with the same kind of Drive as long as you make sure the KEY is the same as the original

I open the driver.
I use the probe to extract the key.
I decline the prompt to automatically choose the firmware.
I choose My desired firmware ( in this case 3.0 ).
I choose "Erase Lite-On".
I choose Write, the ata/outro.

Both the old and the new drives are the same.

Why not let jungleflasher auto load the firmware?

Anyway once you have extracted the key from the original. Disconnect the power CK3 and the sata cable. Plug in new drive. Refresh to ensure new drive is detected. Click spoof to copy key to new drive then intro drive, write new firmware, then outro as you put before.

Same process

Since u already have liteon OFW bin

Open JF

Detect drive

Go to firmware tab

Load Liteon OFW that contains dvd key from u old drive u got using probe, load this as source

It will ask if u want to load latest LT

If they are in ur firmware folder click yes and it will spoof key, if they are not click no and find LT 3.0 and spoof key

Make sure ck3i is set to auto and detected.

Go to mtk flash tab

Click liteon erase

Make sure in vendor mode

Click write

Wait for wait verified ok

Click outro till u ser drive again out of vendor mode


Your done!

Are you looking for a section with step by step pretty pictures? You won't find it. It's noob friendly, not kiddie friendly.

You have instructions on how to dump the firmware/dummy.bin.

You also have instructions on how to write a firmware to a drive.

It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to combine the two. That is of course, if you understand what you're trying to do - which I don't think you do.

It's really pretty simple follow JF tutorial and write FW with your key to the other drive
