I swear i have flash protection off

Hello, I am currently trying to flash my x3 ce chip with the X3 bios from xbins. I'm doing the http flash and everything works fine up until I click upload and flash or whatever. It gives me the error "Unknown Flash. Halting!". I've read this is because you have flash protection enabled.. but I am 99% sure I don't. I have it so the LED turns red on the chip and don't even have the switch plugged in. Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks in advance.

IS it phisically switched off at the CHIP?

Yeah, it was.. it was just that the chip wasn't pressed down as much as it needed to.

So re-seating the x3 on the header fixed it right?

BTW the red light on the x3 shows flash protect was indeed off
