i think i broke my lite on Phat ??? help please

okay so I was trying to flash my drive and then when I put the probe on to the part of the disc drive that you need to a little bit of smoke came out of the top
of the drive and when I went to try and turn it on again the laser in my drive lights up red, is there anyway to fix this or is it broken, the drive also doesn't come up on my pc anymore

Edit: heres a picture... is it fixable ?? or do I need a brand new.

Does the xbox pick up the drive or is your power button LED flashing?

my xbox has all green lights, everything is working but my computer nor my xbox picks it up well atleast I think my xbox doesn't pick it up because it says opening all the time

i have a Samsung drive, is there any way I can spoof it to work on my lite on motherboard?

Nope - you need to replace like for like.

What's worse is you'll more than likely need to RGH for the DVD key.

I would strongly recommend finding someone local to you.

It is not just a matter of getting a new drive you need the DVD key so if you do not have this then you would need to RGH the console to get the key to be able to program this to the new drive.

Have you tried to use jungleflasher in bad flash recover mode?

Had problem like this. I didn't fix it, but it was possible to get drive key from it (in my case)

Try PhatKey or MRA hack. You still need new PCB
