flashed my chip through the network method with the swithes at ''on,on,off, off, off'' but when i turned the xbox on it did the on/off three times and flashing red/green thing. i alot of posts and its meant to be a soldering prob but it cant be in my case cos i got a 1.6 xbox, xecuter 3 ce with solderless adaptor and fitted it no probs. i can get into the backup bios and the other half of the bios. but i cant find anyone that has explained how to actually take advantage of the backup.
i have no idea where to go from here. this is my only hope:(

Make sure you are flashing the right file for your xbox version v16plus one for 1.6Xbox.
You can use the backup bios to flash your chip again, since you don't have bank 1234 working yet.

Just download the correct file from xbins and flash again.

I was having that problem then I flashed it with the X3_1957_v16b_TEST.rar on XBINS. That'll fix it fine and dandy. However, I had the X3_3294.rar working originaly but I screwed something up. Anyways, once I had the X3_1957_v16b_TEST.rar installed I can't get the X3_3294.rar back on. Anyone know how to fix this?

The actual bios file which you flash with is a .bin file, rar files should be extracted first of course.

yes i can get into the back up and the other 1mb bank but i want to know EXACTLY what to do with it. do i flash that bank with a new bios? what if that messes up too? or do i somehow flash the whole chip?
im guessing it would be easier to start from the beginning, some how, and of course i dont know.
i got some files from xbins, x3 3294 v16plus. its size is 1024k bin file. is there anything else i should get hold of to help me.
(and i thought waiting for a solderless chip would make this all easier!!!)

Boot into back-up or other working flashbios. Set switches to the bank you want to flash over, and then flash away.
