Great forum by the way....

My question...

After flashing the 3294 bios on to my chip via http the box shut down... no problem... when i start the box it restarts 2 or 3 times by itself then flashing reg green then straight to blue screen.... any ideas what i might of done wrong?
and how do i reflash a new bios on the chip.. it will not let me into the FlashBios screen anymore.. sorry if this is a noob question

I bought 3 chips this is my second chip... the first one did the same thing. i thought i might of put the wrong bios on (which i did) on the first one.

what version of xbox do u have? 1.0-1.6a use bank 1234: on on off off off 1.6b use bank 5678: off on off off off.

Cause Bank 1234: is FlashBios 3.0.1 and Bank 5678: is FlashBios 3.0.3

Also add that for a version 1.0-1.5 you need the X3_3294.bin while for a version 1.6 or 1.6b you need bios X3_3294_v16plus.bin

Hold power and eject together to get to your backup flash utility

Rookio...Not at my house so I have to ask this question...does Holding the power and eject button together work even if you have flashed both 1mb banks? I would not ask if I could touc my box but I am at work right now and a little worried I myself may have totaly messed up my mod.

Also I seem to be experiencing some of the same problems a lot of other people are having. I flash through http method and it does not seem to work. I have the correct bios to flash but after it does the flashing process it does not seem to work. One of 2 things happens. It comes on but screen is black or it comes on beeps and turns off. Any suggestions?

I know several people that have flashed the whole flash bios file. The only part of the file you need to flash is the 1024 BIN part of it . Try this in bank 2 OFF,ON,OFF,OFF,OFF. Just a suggestion.

I flashed it with this file X3_3294.bin first to the on on off off off bank
and when that did not work to the off on off off off bank

When it would start up the tv was blank and there was no sound. Did not check the DVD but I will tonight.

Also I used the soiderless kit. It appeared as though it was on correctly (touching all the right places).....if it was not then why would the FlashBIOS have loaded?

My xbox version is 1.0 if that makes a difference

i will try that method in a bit.... hop it works... also i bought the box pre-modded from modchipman so i think all the solder is correct.....
