Sorry I can't help, but I'd love to see a larger picture of your background diagram. I had the same problem with the red wire.

try following that trace to see if there's another solder point on it. If not, you can try to *very* carefully scrape part of the trace with an xacto knife to expose the copper and then solder to that.

OH. That's a v1.6 install. Is there a similar diagram for v1.0? My LPC got fried, and I'm looking for alternate solder points on the mobo.

i screwed that point as well there is another solder point south west of it, however you will not beable to get to the MS dash until you rebuild that trace

Thats what i was afraid of....because i am fragging with the chip off....dang it.... anyone know of a work-around?

can you still set the clock without the M$ dash with a 2.6? .... i guess Avalaunch will do it....

I am good.... but if someone could tell me what to solder together to get the M$ dash back that would be great.... I mean I can run a wire from the top of the mobo to the bottom.... if thats what it takes....

???

just follow the trace up past it and see if there is a solder point, if there is, just connect the 2 with a wire and it should be good, i honestly don't remember if i looked for one above where i screwed up, however i don't use live so it is not a big deal to me
