Hi,

I was running 5031 when I got 5032 and put it in c\bios. I then put the new ini from 5032 in the root of e after cutting and pasting flubber and logo colors of choice to replace the existing in 5032 ini along with changing the led to cycle.

After trying to boot I get the x2 live config loading...., opening logo with the desired colors, and then it freezes with a 13 in the upper left. I would appreciate info, I think if I could be told how to make a bootable cd or dvd, I would hope to be able to ftp back in to replace the ini as I'm guessing that the problem lies with the ini on there now.

Sorry for the trouble, I must've done something to cause this....

13 is a dashboard failure. You probably just messed up in your dash declarations in the config file. But have no fear.. all you need to do is make a boot disk and tutorials are available on X-s. Personally I just use slayer's to get an ftp going and log in to change the config.

If you've your dash(es) on the root of C:, once you can FTP into your box you can just whack the INI to boot off defaults. The defaults include looking for some of the most common dashes on the root of C:. You can then work from there to get a new ini going.

Just make sure you've got your dashxName dash config set up correctly and working before you try messing around with any of the DVD boot options. This is where you can really get hosed.

I'm back up! Thanks again for your help. It appears the problem was having the 5032 ini file on E before I had flashed to 5032. I continued to have the problem until removing the ini file, after that I was able to boot, flashed to 5032 and put the ini back.

While I think that the problem reported around here most frequently has been due to someone using an old ini with a newer bios, doing the reverse is a bad idea as well. Bios and ini should be for the same version.

That just answered a problem I was having. Thanks. I ended up flashing from the harddrive using flashbios because I couldn't figure it out.
