ok so i couldn't get my boot disk to load when I put my 40 gig hd in my box so I put my old hd in to load it and then replaced it with my new one I then selected on my slayers disk to format and install everything however I think all it did was format it because when I ftp to my new hd it has all the partitions and an extra g partition put it dosnt let me ftp anything over to it

I wonder what I have to do

Are you saying you switched drives while the Xbox was on? I'm not so sure that will work properly.

What makes you think you have a G drive?

It's visible, but doesn't mean it's there. It would have been present even if you hadn't formatted the drive. How are you able to boot with the new HDD if you couldn't before?
