alright i guess i'm the only jackass w/ this problem here is how i solved it....i used the the sticky pads that you remove from the bottom of the box to get it open...being that they are still sticky i used them as pads and stuck them to the sides of the cable...with the help of the screwdriver and there! now i dont have to smash my box against the wall....

Replace CPU > Jtag?

Now this is just thinking out loud, so sorry if this is completely stupid or impossible however I was thinking would it be possible to remove the existing 360 processor, complete with blown eFuse and replace it with a "whole" processor and thus be able to downgrade the kernel?

The only flaw that in my understanding would be

1: Technical restrictions around removing the processor from the 360 mobo
2: Obtaining a new processor
3: Re-attaching the new processor

As far as I know theoretically this would work, practically... thats another story!

I still kick myself to this day for updating my perfectly good exploitable console

Re: Replace CPU > Jtag?

Also, I just realized, this is probably hopelessly in the wrong place (sorry about that)

Another question though, once the CPU is removed you would have access to every pin, could this CPU then be transplanted or wired into a currently Jtaged 360 and have its CPU key extracted? if not another 360 then maybe another computer?

This will either work or fail miserably I guess
