GENERAL identify xbox mboard and dvd drive and upgrade HDD

Just bought an Xbox-4GB slim model 1538 manufactured on 2013-08-01 ..

questions are:
1. can i tell mother-board, and drive without opening it ?
2. is there a kit that i can buy to mod it without opening box/soldering ?
3. want to upgrade HDD to 2tb to play games on HDD instead of DVD - is that possible ?

excited on this adventure to mod/upgrade it.

1. Xbox 360 Motherboard Identification Table old but will help.
You will need to open the system in order to be sure of the motherboard.
Corona Motherboard Identification
Google xbox 360 slim dvd drive identification.
2. Not to my knowledge
3. Yes but you will need to do soldering and open your 360.

Option 2 - you can send it to a pro to have the work done if you don't feel comfortable soldering or opening your xbox 360.

Right now I'm sticking with repairs. Later on I may get into modding.

Mother board is corona v3
No u can do any modding with out opening the box
And to play games off a external u want to rgh or get a **** or both with a dual NAND
